Hot day forecast for most of Thailand, isolated heavy rains in the South
Most of the country – the North, Northeast, the central region including Bangkok, and the East – will experience hot weather during the day, with upper Thailand seeing thundershowers and gusty winds in some areas.
The South meanwhile will see thundershowers and isolated heavy rains, the Meteorological Department said on Thursday.
Here’s the weather forecast for the next 24 hours:
Bangkok and surrounding areas: Hot day with thundershowers in 20 per cent of the areas; temperature lows of 27-28 degrees, highs of 34-38 degrees Celsius.
North: Hot day with thundershowers in 30 per cent of the area; gusty winds are possible in some areas; temperature lows of 22-27 degrees and highs of 32-38 degrees Celsius.
Northeast: Hot day with thundershowers in 30 per cent of the area; gusty winds are possible in some areas; temperature lows of 23-26 degrees and highs of 35-38 degrees Celsius.
Central: Hot day with thundershowers in 10 per cent of the area; gusty winds are possible in some areas; temperature lows of 24-27 degrees, highs of 36-38 degrees Celsius.
East: Hot day with thundershowers in 30 per cent of the area; gusty winds are possible in some areas; temperature lows of 24-28 degrees, highs of 34-37 degrees Celsius; waves a metre high and 1-2 metres during thundershowers.
South (east coast): Thundershowers in 40 per cent of the area with isolated heavy rains; temperature lows of 24-26 degrees, highs of 33-35 degrees Celsius; waves a metre high and 1-2 metres during thundershowers.
South (west coast): Thundershowers in 60 per cent of the area with isolated heavy rains; temperature lows of 24-27 degrees, highs of 33-36 degrees Celsius; waves a metre high and 1-2 metres during thundershowers.
