Thailand recorded 5,126 Covid-19 cases and 53 deaths on Tuesday.

Ministry of Public Health reported on Tuesday (November 23) morning that in the past 24 hours there are 5,126 new patients who tested positive for Covid-19, 104 of whom have been found in prisons.

Death toll increased by 53, while 7,748 patients were cured and allowed to leave hospitals.

The country’s total caseload from Covid-19 stands at 2,076,135 – 1,972,553 of whom have recovered, 83,093 are still in hospitals and 20,489 have died.

Separately, another 118,862 people were given their first Covid-19 shot in the last 24 hours, 201,053 their second shot and 27,641 a booster, bringing the total number of Covid-19 vaccine doses administered nationwide to 89,336,791.

According to Worldometer, confirmed cases globally had risen to 258.44 million on Tuesday, 233.91 million of whom have recovered, 19.36 million are active cases (80,500 in severe condition) and 5.17 million have died (up by 5,557).

 

Thailand ranks 23rd in the global list of most cases, which is topped by the US with 48.75 million, followed by India with 34.52 million, Brazil with 22.02 million, the UK with 9.89 million and Russia with 9.37 million.
