The Dica said the investment last month was mostly made in production and hotel sectors by companies from Thailand, Singapore, Britain, China and India.
The total investment from Thailand was $379 million (89.6 per cent), Singapore $23.6 million, Britain $15.8 million, China $4.1 million and India $9.6 million.
Last month, the Dica gave permission for 14 enterprises to invest in Myanmar under the Foreign Investment Law.
International firms have focused their investment in major sectors such as oil and gas, mining and electric power in previous fiscal years.
Total foreign investment from 32 countries in Myanmar was over $42 billion as of May 31. China remains the biggest investor in Myanmar with over $14.18 billion.
