1,467 CCTVs set up to boost safety in economic growth corridor Iskandar

Iskandar Malaysia will have 1,467 CCTVs installed in and around the region to boost safety and security in the economic growth corridor.

Phase one, involving 250 CCTVs, kicked off in May last year, while the installation of the equipment in North Johor Baru and Nusajaya districts will be completed next month.
Another 165 CCTVs are being installed in various places in Kulaijaya police district since January 2013.
“Iskandar has become increasingly safe and secure with falling crime rates as seen in the past few years,” Johor deputy police chief Ismail Yatim told reporters yesterday.
