Judicial graft in the spotlight

Myanmar's judicial sector has dealt with only three corruption cases over the last year despite numerous complaint letters, according to the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Lower House MP Thein Nyunt raised the issue during the 9th session of parliament after receiving a letter from Minister for Home Affairs Lt-Gen Ko Ko last week.
“The Union Supreme Court dealt with three corruption cases only during the one-year period after the formation of the Anti-Corruption Commission,” said the letter dated April 9.
