US teenager arrested over mother's death in Bali

A 19-year-old woman from the United States and her boyfriend were arrested on the Indonesian resort island of Bali in connection with the death of her mother, police said yesterday.
The body of Sheila von Wiese Mack, 62, was found on Tuesday in a blood-stained suitcase left in a taxi outside a luxury hotel where the three had been staying, local police chief Djoko Hari Utomo said. The taxi driver had identified the couple, Utomo said.
Police arrested the woman’s daughter, identified as Heather Mack, and her 21-year-old boyfriend in a different hotel on Wednesday, he said. “They said the woman was killed by armed robbers in her room,” Djoko said. “But their statements don’t correspondent to facts on the ground.”
