Coldplay revs up the crowd by making up 'hot as hell' song on Singapore

British band Coldplay had the Singapore crowd whooping and cheering with a ditty about Singapore being "hot as hell" during their concert on Saturday (April 1).

The two-night performance sold out with 100,000 people packing the National Stadium on Friday (March 31) and Saturday.

Coldplay are on their Head Full Of Dreams Tour, which kicked off in Argentina on March 31 last year. After Europe and North American, it will wrap up in October.

The lyrics serenading their Singapore fans were a little cheesy, but it was obvious the audience didn't care as they tried their best to live up to the song.

Frontman Chris Martin strummed and sang:

"Singapore, Singapore, SingaporeWell we played here four times beforeBut the way that the crowd they roarMeans we're gonna play here a helluva lot times more

Singapore well there's no forgettingFor the whole gig I've been severely sweatingSingapore where they cheer so wellBut Singapore is as hot as hell

Singapore, Singapore, SingaporeWon't you listen to that crowd when they roarSingapore, Singapore, SingaporeWe've played here a lotBut we're gonna play here a lot more"
