There’ll be a brace of nuptials, in fact – in Bangkok and Hua Hin.
Chai explains that Vicki wanted a “sea theme” for their wedding, “so I decided to have two ceremonies”.
They’ve already picked out the gown and engagement ring, but Chai isn’t revealing how much they spent. “They represent my feelings, and if they’re a bit costly it doesn’t matter,” he says in response to further pestering.
He’s got a seriously heavyweight guest list to organise, and meanwhile he’s about to make his debut as television director. Production begins on his new series in February. Surely Vicki should be helping.
“No, she’s just given me all I want – support. She knows it’s my dream to be a director.”
And of course she’s his dream girl. Should be quite a year for Chai!
Girl can’t lie
“Dome” Pakorn Lam’s new girlfriend wasn’t particularly impressed with him at first. TV host Chirantanin “Gusjang” Pitaktrakul’s revelation came as a bit of shock – this was Thailand’s drop-dead-gorgeous Prince Charming she was talking about.
She prefers guys who “look Korean”, she said in tweets and interviews, producing more gasps on the social media.
But as they chatted over the course of a few weeks and she got to know Dome better, she realised he’s a true gentleman and just as straightforward as she is.
Well, she certainly is!
There are rumours that Dome’s mother isn’t pleased about her boy dating a 19-year-old, but unfazed Gusjang says she looks forward to meeting her.
It ought to be harder becoming a Dome girl. His fans are scrutinising Gusjang’s every word and hired detectives to see if she’d had a nose job. “Yes, I did,” Miss Straightforward admits. “Next question.”
This kind of honesty could really shake up show business. Imagine if it spilled over into politics.
