Israel doesn't threaten on a daily basis

Re: "Israel's demons and the pre-emptive strike", Letters, April 8.

This letter cannot be ignored since it shows a level of insider information that would put the best and brightest of Iranian intelligence to shame. While it is by no means clear where Mr Frederickson gets his  data, what is obviously behind it is more worrisome.
Accusing Israel of cyber-terrorism, of threatening peace-loving Iran’s civilian systems with being decapacitated, of jamming Iranian air defences – all these claims are worthy of a story in A Thousand and One Nights. It might be worth remembering that Israel has not threatened anyone, while Iran’s leaders threaten Israel with annihilation on a weekly basis. Combine that with what the IAEA calls Iran’s “suspicious military” aspects of its nuclear programme –and you might want to rephrase this letter.
Lastly, regarding Jewish-Arab relations, the letter-writer should have done his homework and thus found that the countries most in fear of Iran’s nuclear ambitions are the Gulf sheikhdoms and Saudi Arabia, which are geographically closer to Iran.
