It really bugs me that the police do not work at night, when most crime occurs. Even the traffic cops get it wrong, confronting the person with the most money, not the person who screwed up. Although, I admit, the Tourist Police try to be fair.
My wife has learned the hard way: local police gave her a lot of trouble for a motorbike that ran into her pickup. It was entirely the motorbike rider’s fault, but my wife had to pay the fine.
So, for a traffic accident, call the Tourist Police and you have a better chance that the correct people will be punished.
