New governor should swap land for public parks

I was told there are 32 parks and gardens in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. When I strolled around, I always found a shade tree and a bench to rest on. I was impressed with all the huge old trees and all kinds of beautiful arrangements for Tet. I am a city st

Now the new “broom” has been elected. Does he have any plans to make Bangkok greener? I have two suggestions:
Buy or expropriate the land next to the Nana Skytrain station for a park. Perfect for city visitors shopping and strolling around in that central part of the city.
Next, buy or expropriate the Royal Bangkok Sports Club’s fields, which currently are only for the “haves”. Make it Bangkok’s Central Park for everyone! Be brave, new governor, and make history!
I have been flying into Bangkok from all directions and I think I have seen why there are so few green areas for ordinary people. What you see from above is golf courses dotted in and around the city.
That means the rich and influential are satisfied with all the green fields that they have. They do not care for more. What they want is land to make more money from. That way, no new parks or gardens will be seen in Bangkok. But will there be a change with a new “broom” in office, a greener Bangkok for everyone?
