Homophobia stems from internal demons; that's my guess

In regard to this debate about gay marriage, I can honestly say I'm not for gay marriage but I'm not against it either. As a heterosexual, why should I care one way or another if gays want to get married?

The campaigners against gay marriage are the same recycled gay-bashers who have always opposed gay rights. These gay-bashers probably spend more time thinking about homosexuality in one day than I do in a year. History shows – with the Nazis being the most extreme example – that some of the worst gay-bashers had many gay people among themselves. So while the gay-bashers think they are fighting homosexuality in general, they are really fighting against their own sexual insecurities and sense of inadequacy. And fighting against your own internal “demons” is the most frustrating and depressing battle in the world.
