The luxurious I.Sawan Residential Spa & Club at the Grand Hyatt Bangkok has long been a favourite with spa-goers for its quality treatments and idyllic surroundings. Now it has taken another step towards the ultimate pampering with the introduction of a selection of foot and hand treatments as well as manicure and pedicure programmes using premium organic spa products from US company SpaRitual.

Founded by Shel Pink in 2004, SpaRitual offers a range of products that are guaranteed non-toxic and extracted from plants, flowers and herbs from around the world. 

As a child, Pink absorbed her mother's philosophy of only choosing food that is good for the health and later went on to study yoga, meditation and Ayuravedic principles. 

“So many people are worried about wrinkles as they think these make them look old. My view is different. I think we should feel proud about our wrinkles, as they show how much experience we have of life,” she says. 

“Taking time out for wellness is very important for everyone who lives in the fast lane. We need to take time to find ourselves. Women should be beautiful from the inside.

“We should also choose what’s best for our health. Slow beauty is about taking time moment to slow down while meditation helps you look and feel young.”

Pink’s products are organic, non-toxic and contain no animal fat. Soy protein is used to make the colours for the brand's nail care products.

The SpaRitual lacquer range comes in four themes. “Close Your Eyes” is infused with Egyptian geranium to calm the mind and features blue, green, violet and neutral. The “Look Inside” range, symbolising the inner self, is made from extract of Indian frankincense and comes in brown, berry and grey-green.

“Instinctual" in red, orange and magenta, energises with refreshing Indonesian ginger while “Infinitely Loving” is an infusion of Chinese jasmine and features a colour palette of pink, rose, white and peach. 

“Colour has the physiological power to soothe and heal,” says Pink of her nail range. "Our colour experts have carefully hand-blended each hue for a superior shine, drying time and coverage.”

At I.Sawan’s Nail Bar, treatments also come in four choices and the 60-minute Purifying manicure and pedicure are perfect matches with the Close Your Eyes line. The therapist begins by cleansing and exfoliating to soothe tired, overworked hands before moving on to the manicure while the Purifying foot massage, also available for 90 minutes, uses Egyptian geranium oil to melt away and drain the feet and legs of harmful toxins.

For the manicure and pedicure based on the Look Inside concept, a therapist treats the hands, legs and feet with reflexology using traditional Thai massage, while strengthening the nails and rehydrating the hands and arms. The foot massage releases tight muscles in feet and legs and stimulates the body’s natural recovery process. 

People who work with their hands all day should try the Energising manicure and pedicure using Indonesian ginger products from Instinctual line. Hot stone massage is used to invigorate fatigued hands, release muscle tension and stimulate circulation. 

The Harmonising manicure and pedicure use Chinese jasmine from the Infinitely Loving line to melt away stress. These gentle-hydrating treatments restore youthful skin and arrest the signs of ageing, while the relaxing foot massage with super moisturising organic shea butter softens and hydrates the feet and legs.
