Taylor Swift lends her guitar and album to a new line of sneakers
Keds, the popular American footwear brand, spices up the streets with a limited edition of its Red Champions sneakers in collaboration with the Grammy-winning singer Taylor Swift. Influenced by her latest album, “Red”, the line reincarnates the classic Keds Champion series with 12 new designs.
The Chevron model takes a guitar share in alternating polka dots, paw prints, bouquets, stripes and sunglasses along with nautical anchors and stars and a feminine heart.
The shoes come in bright red, yellow, navy aqua and pink, while a silver heart-shaped charm merges with Swift’s favourite number, 13, and a guitar pick with Swift’s logo inscribed in the middle.
Keds evokes the spirit of nautical sport with America’s interpretation of the French seaside style. The sporty mood is captured with retro tennis, croquet and golf influences, pastel shades and prints of polka dots and gingham.
The trendy sneakers feature woven chambray stripes, washed canvas, flora with chambray and leather bindings, colour pop linings and metallic laces.
Ked’s men’s collection emphasises classic American materials and simple upper patterns. Chambray, Canvas, Army Twill and Camo dominate the range.
