The proxy government continues in its aggressive furtiveness and non-transparent ways. Mega-budget, mega-secrecy and never any studies or figures. Just like the good old days when Thaksin was prime minister and the airport CTX scanner corruption came to light. But wait - although there were so many irregularities with that case, including a huge sum of money that’s never been recovered, all of it has been buried, with Thaksin let off scot-free. And now Thailand slowly sinks. Because Pheu Thaksin’s populist policies are not sustainable and are not about the Thai people and country, but about one man, they will come crashing down with consequences.
All this pain and suffering on Thailand so that one fugitive won't have to serve one day in jail? Is Thailand's democracy dying, or has it passed away and been buried already?
