The new bill sizes might have perfectly reasonable explanations, and I would like to hear them. But increasing the paper size apparently goes against the global effort to reduce our impact on the environment in this era of planetary warming.
Speaking of global warming, we recently heard the deputy traffic commissioner planning a ban on old cars. I hope he is aware of the concept called the carbon footprint.
Most environmentalists would tell you that manufacturing a new car creates as much carbon pollution as driving it, not to mention the environmental cost of adding the old car to the ever-growing junk heap.
