The likely stars of tomorrow get a taste of the stage in the "Central Kids' Runway" fashion show

One of Thailand’s most popular fashion shows for the junior set, last week’s “Central Kids’ Runway” saw lots of pint-sized celebrities and young socialites sashay down the catwalk presenting the latest in summer clothes from more than 100 leading luxury brands.
Celebrities on hand included former deputy Prime Minister Pongpol Adireksarn and his grandchildren, triplets Tate, Thames and Tyne, and their parents, Nitipong and Patamon Suriya. Former education minister Narissara Chawantanpipat was there too, as were Kachapa and Sakchai Tancharoen, Kim Soo Hyun and Jesse Tancharoen, who came to show support for young Jared and Justice.
Rittee and Padari Bunnag were present to cheer on Rerai, the great-granddaughter of Prince Peesadej Ratchanee. Chaiyadol and Rattaporn Chokwattana came to support Thacha “Mek”. Kittayaphorn Chaithawornsathien accompanied little Weerakan and Kejmanee Wattanasin to cheer for her friends’ daughter Ammarain and Achara Nitipon’s girl Ally. Sarannop Devahasdin na Ayudhya and Jiravadee Rattanatanyong’s daughter, Linlada “Torfai” Devahasdin na Ayudhya, joined the parade too.
As the two-day event began, youthful emcees Charlet Wasita Hamaynow and Intouch “Pooh” Sermsukcharoenchai introduced the “Luxe Summer Garden” show from the brands in the Luxe Kids zone. These included Paul Smith Junior’s line, rich in colour, stripes and prints of dinosaurs and spacemen, and Little Marc Jacobs’ juvenile version of its women’s collection with the same offbeat mixing and matching.
Kenzo Kids offered outfits in cheerful hues and butterfly patterns, while Junior Gaultier had classic polka dots in red, blue and white. Ralph Lauren Childrenswear had genteel polo jackets and dresses in pastel shades, quite a contrast to Diesel’s easygoing T-shirt and jeans. Young Versace celebrates Versace’s strength – modern leisure, rock energy and effortless luxury.
The “Once Upon a Time” show was devoted to Thai brands. DekTay by Nana Rybena had its premiere, joining Paula and Baby by Paula Taylor and Tutti Frutti by Nuttanuch Wongpuapan.
The diminutive models brought endless smiles to the faces of onlookers. The finale was a particular hit, featuring Bena and Brooklyn, twins of Nana Rybena and Way from Thaitanium; Nattanuch Wongpuapan’s daughter Dada Wongpuapan Jangtrakoon; Patee and Pitipat Sarasin’s son Dee Dee; Pachara “Bank” and Suthita “Nina” Panyayong’s son Pat; Panita “Ning” Tumwattana’s daughter Nirin; Paula and Edward Buttery’s daughter Lila; and DJ Dada’s niece Kanish.
The event was vibrant and fun with the presence of little starlets and their parents, such as Pitipat and Patee Sarasin, Panita “Ning” Tumwattana, Alicia and Puri Hiranpruk, Panwad and Nithi Boonyaratglin, Suthita “Nina” Panyayong, Kwankao “Pang” Svetavimala and Monlada Pongpanich.
