To run, even to fly

A DECADE of collaboration between Adidas Originals and New York-based fashion designer Jeremy Scott has now produced a collection of funky apparel and sneakers in the bold colours of summer. 

Refined embroidery, beads and pearl buttons are incorporated among prints of dollar signs, leopard skin and flowers, using different techniques and top-quality fabrics. 

The flamboyant designs extend to a football jersey cropped tight to the body, a basketball tank top in neon hues, a tank top for women laced with colourful thread, and a baseball shirt adorned with a grosgrain trim and a satin-stitched Adidas logo.

The “Adidas Originals by Jeremy Scott” sneakers include the JS Athletic Wings Wedge covered in a coral-tone fabric with embroidered wings and the JS Gel Wings Adilette, chic with blue-and-green jelly wings. The JS Flames I have wings of fire and the JS Bones Multicolor high-top sneakers have lacing on top apart from what’s needed to tie up the shoes. 

For more “classic” styling, the JS Gold Rod Laver sneakers in a metallic gold python skin are covered in dollar signs and the JS Wings Easy Five Gold Mirror flat shoes are patent gold and have wings at the rear.
