The truly soap-like drama culminated in Mark calling an urgent press conference so he could publicly apologise for what had happened. He’d come under heavy criticism after a rude message he’d made on Line went public. “Mint,” he told his on-screen sweetheart, “what’s wrong with your mum? Bitch! Won’t you stop this?” He said he would spit in her face the next time he saw her. “I’m happy and you’re jealous of me?”
Even their fans were baffled by the outburst. The two first starred as sweethearts in the hit Channel 3 series “Four Hearts of the Mountains” a few years ago. Now there was this, in a Line chat group among celebrity friends including Pakorn “Boy” Chatboriruk and Margie Rasi Balenciaga. So Mark had to call the press and say he was sorry for losing his temper and being rude toward Mint’s mother, Ratchanok.
“I will seek a chance to apologise to her in person soon,” he said, but there was no explanation forthcoming about what caused the temper tantrum in the first place, apart from Mark’s admission that Mint’s mum is in a row with his manager, Pornmanee “Prae” Metsitthisiri. Mark said Prae is the best manager he’s ever had, and he doesn’t thing there will be any problem with him continuing to co-star opposite Mint.
As of late Friday there had been no response from Mint or her mother, but it’s likely that Mint will leave it to their management to patch things over. Channel 3 executive Somluck Narongwichai said there’d be a meeting of all parties this week. Mark talked to the press “without consulting me”, Somluck said, “but it’s okay that he admitted that he was in the wrong and apologised”.
Boy’s still got some explaining to do.

Aroused by fear?
Anticipation is building for the new horror film “Hong Hoon” (“Room of Wax”) thanks in part to “sexy” promotional photos of the stars, Ananda Everingham and Rattanarat “Ploy” Aurthaveekul. The photo, taken for Elle Man Thailand magazine and playing on the film’s theme, “Crack my skin”, shows the naked (sort of) but with cracked flesh.
Ananda says he knew in advance the shoot would be sexy, but he didn’t realise until he got there that they wanted his kit off. One of the staff handed him a pair of underwear and started smearing him with oil. Ploy would like everyone to know that they look naked in the picture, but they actually wore “protection” over their personal bits. “Ananda had one and I had two,” she says.
His sweetheart, Nanasanan “Donut” Panlertwong, wasn’t about to complain, and even teased him that he always loves to show off anyway. Ploy’s parents haven’t filed suit either, thanks to that artful dodging. Ananda says she didn’t act shy. In fact, Ploy says it was much tougher acting scared in the movie – because she wasn’t. “I know the movie will scare the viewers, but I had all sorts of people and cameras around me!”
