On Tuesday, Bangkok suffered flooding after one downpour. As usual the water didn’t go anywhere, partially because we are barely above sea level but mostly because trash is blocking the drains. Much of this trash is plastic bags and styrofoam, which people get for free, use for seconds and throw away for convenience. Many cities around the world have already banned this type garbage. What is Bangkok waiting for? Do Bangkokians like to live in their own garbage?
