As a university student, I have personally witnessed the ritual myself and was not a big fan of it. I know the topic is controversial because there are some advantages to hazing. However, a university is a place of prestige, so a more civilised activity or ritual should be practised. It irks me that violent student initiations continue at other universities as well that seem to involve more disadvantages than advantages. Stricter measures should be imposed in order to establish a clearer boundary and to prevent further harm and scandal.
