A historical slip of the pen
Re: "Anand unfairly treated in muddled diatribe", Letters, September 15.
In my letter I made the mistake of referring to the Black May massacre as occurring during the tenure of former prime minister Anand Panyarachun. In fact it happened between May 17 and 20, 1992, when General Suchinda Kraprayoon was prime minister. Please accept my apology for the mistake.
