Less audacious rattling of keyboards, please

Ref: "Siam, the fall of Singapore and the end of the British Empire", Letters, yesterday.

Khun Songdej opens his letter by conceding the point I made in my letter that Thailand was not neutral during World War II.
Then with a breathtakingly audacious and fallacious rattle of his keyboard, he states that the “wrath of Churchill and the like of David Brown against Thailand are understandable in blaming Siam for the subsequent fall of Singapore”.
Where did you conjure up this totally wrong misrepresentation of what I wrote, Khun Songdej?
To begin with, I wrote my letter with neither wrath nor pleasure, but as dispassionately as I could.
Second, I never linked Thailand with the fall of Singapore.
You are entitled to respond to and even criticise my
letter, but please don’t invent things I never said. You only demean your own authority by doing so.
I have no wish to prolong this series of letters, but please allow me to set the record straight, for I have a deep and abiding love of Thailand, Thai culture and the Thai people, and also a deep sympathy for what Thais suffered during World War II, particularly once Japan started showing its true colours.
