No problem spelling ‘government overreach’

Re: “Take more care before carving up Eric Bahrt”, Letters, February 16.

Ye Olde Nitpicker is right about my spelling – very careless of me. He/she is also correct in saying I used to harp on about my right to smoke. Yet in the last five years the cost of a packet of cigarettes has gone from Bt50 to Bt120 thanks to taxes. It would seem the government has taken the role of “father” rather than being our servant, as it should be. We can only hope it doesn’t make more decisions for the public about which products are dangerous for us.
I would take further exception to the writer’s comments, but I’m worried about misspelling his title. That’s one thing I like about Eric Bahrt. He uses his real name rather than hiding behind a cutesy title.
