It is very “unthinking” to make a simplistic appraisal of Donald J Trump. The Western establishment certainly does not. He’s been singled out for criticism by Barack Obama, the Pope, the UK and the main-stream media because he’s a threat to the status quo. Trump is shrewd and cannot be dismissed superficially. Understanding him requires depth of thinking and the ability to take a broad view.
Trump and millions of people are tired of the economic mess created by the self-interested established political cartel on Capital Hill, floating on trillions of debt. The people want change; they need a champion. Courageously Trump has filled the post, but at great personal risk. History relates the fate of individuals who challenge the establishment with common sense: Abe Lincoln, Martin Luther King, John F Kennedy and Robert F Kennedy all paid the ultimate price.
Trump is a successful businessman turned politician. He has shown he knows how to gain popular support as a first step before achieving nomination. He knows it’s a process requiring a change in tactics at each stage. Trump cites the main threats to US Judeo-Christian democracy as political correctness, Sharia law, Common Core education, uncontrolled immigration, unemployment and economic mismanagement. Only the “unthinking” would qualify opposing these as “lunatic”. Before aiming criticism it is wise to research these fundamentally. They all add up to Orwellian totalitarianism. It’s taking place in Europe at the moment, unopposed. Trump is fully aware of this, hence his bold stance for America.
