Barefoot on the beach

JOEY BOY, Sing Nuea Suea Tai, Buddha Bless, local DJ favourites Leo and Spydamankee and DJ Nikki from Malaysia will be making music beachside at the Ocean Marina Yacht Club in Pattaya next Saturday as “Loop the Party” gets into full swing.

The latest electronic dance music event, it’s being organised by Phuripup Devahastin, managing director of CS Agency Thailand and he describes it as “an exclusive party with a white theme”.

“I’ve called it ‘Loop the Party’ to symbolise a circle around other planned events that will come under the same umbrella,” the young executive says.

“We’ll be doing both local and international concerts. EDM is still very hot, which is why we’ve brought in Joey Boy as the main artist of our first music event. Joey Boy is synonymous with fun and we want our Loop the Party to be fun. It will also be exclusive in that it allows partygoers to come up close and cosy with their favourite artists thanks to a low platform stage that lets the artists interact and build direct relationships with their audience.

“We would like all audience members to dress in white, or at least wear a white T-shirt or shirt. There’s no special meaning; it’s just a gimmick. We will shine colourful spotlights on the audience’s white clothes and also want them to be wet. If the audience doesn’t get soaked with the rain, we will spray them,” says Phuripup.

The new organiser is expecting more than 3,000 people to turn out for Loop the Party, which will feature a musical battle between artists and DJs including Nikki from Malaysia.

Nikki started DJ-ing in 2004 and her passion for dance music has turned her into one of the hardest working local DJs as she sets out to prove that a female DJ can get recognition away from the dance floor.

Her sets typically incorporate tech house, house and electro as well more traditional techno fare, making for consistently exciting and surprising sets that never fail to rock the dance floor.
