‘Nation’ too cruel to Prayut, Trump and Putin
For quite some time The Nation has dared to criticise and even insult Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha.
The bias against General Prayut is completely out of whack. Depicting him with such glaring ugliness is very provocative, especially coming from a foreigner like your cartoonist Stephff, who should not forget that he is only a guest here. By comparison Arun’s cartoons are very expressive – they tell the story without words! Stephff’s truly awful cartoon depicting Donald Trump and Julian Assange was also inappropriate, showing he did not research the truth behind this story. Yes, Trump is aggressive – he has to because he has to wake up the American people from their comatose state. And he is succeeding beautifully!
And then the endless vilification of Russian President Vladimir Putin is just outrageous. Which country has hundreds of military bases around the world – some almost right on the doormat of Russia? Yes, America, the beacon of “democracy” and freedom, whereas Russia has just two overseas bases! This kind of reporting is just too sordid and stupid.
