The 2007 World champion along with young team members Nunthawut Bhirombhakdi and Sitavir Limnantharak seized the top position on the podium in the junior competition which featured seven teams of combined professional drivers and children age between 8-11.
The competition was part of the promotional activities the Scuderia Ferrari’s driver was due to take part as the brand ambassador of Boon Rawd Brewery. The 36-year-old Finn on Monday extended his agreement with the company to 2018.
Raikonnen also took the opportunity to instruct techniques and how to drive safely for the young competitors during the event.
Thai-Norwegian Sandy Stuvik, one of the country’s top racer, and his team of Thanakrit Metheewuthikorn and Arituch Thirawattanasit came in second place while former Super GT champion Carlo Van Dam of the Netherlands, along with young Jirapat Jirapraneet and Warut Wisanuwattanakij finished at third.
