The day justice died in the Philippines

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 22, 2016

November 18 should be declared an annual national day of mourning in the Philippines after this month’s burial in Manila’s Cemetery of Heroes of an ex-president who was a tyrant and the author of martial rule that led to the killing of thousands of innocent Filipinos.

We call on the people, especially the victims of martial law, to continue to fight for justice. It may be that justice will not be found here on earth. Marcos’s family members may have buried his earthly body in what they think is a place for heroes, but they are forgetting the more important place of eternal repose.
In the Bible we are told that the beggar Lazarus went to Heaven when he died, while the rich man found himself in Hell.
