Paying tribute to Rene Lacoste, the French tennis hero who gave sportswear a new direction in 1933, the Thai wing of his global clothing empire has rolled its “Lacostel.12.12 Pop Up Roadshow” into CentralWorld.

It’s a chance to see the new premium collection, named L.12.12 after the tennis star’s original creation.
Rene Lacoste’s genius was to create the first cotton polo shirt, a “petit pique” jersey initially intended for sweaty tennis matches, giving players comfort and a bit of elegance. It was soon a hit off the court too, and over the years has been constantly renewed as a chic, timeless essential, encoded with posh relaxation.
The L.12.12 Petit Pique pattern has since been adapted to an entire collection of products – apparel, leather goods, eyewear, footwear, watches and even fragrances. All of them exude French elegance and sporty inspiration in an extensive range of colours.
The road show takes the form of a pop-up shop at CentralWorld Eden 2 this weekend and then moves on to Chiang Mai’s Maya mall from Tuesday (March 14) to March 19, and finally Nakhon Ratchasima’s Terminal 21 Korat from March 21 to 31.
