A White House perfumed with nepotism

President Donald Trump doesn’t seem to believe in the sayings “Never mix business with pleasure” and “Politics and family don’t mix”.

Newly arrived in the White House, Trump and his staff have made one misstep after another. Prominent examples include the proposal to build a wall on the US-Mexico border, the repeal and replacement of the Affordable Care Act, and the Muslim travel ban.
This month NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” TV show aired for the first time a political satire featuring a fictional Ivanka Trump perfume advert, making fun of her political meddling in acting as her father’s adviser.
Mr Trump would do well to heed another proverb: “When pleasure interferes with business, give up business.”
