Eric Trump said in an interview that his father’s decision to launch an attack on Syria was proof that President Trump has no connections to Vladimir Putin and the Russian government. It seems the world is unlikely to believe this presumptuous claim.
Eric also said that Ivanka, his sister, likely swayed their father in his decision to launch the missiles: “I’m sure she said, ‘Listen, this is horrible stuff.’ My father will act in times like that.”
Observers are now rightly wondering whether the Trump family will become more and more influential in president’s decision-making in crucial national affairs.
The question that naturally follows: Is the US becoming more and more like a Third World democracy?
