I agree with Atis Altimarino that it’s even debatable if the drug problem in the Philippines is really that bad. When I lived there, alcoholism was a tremendously more serious problem. Yet although alcohol is much more dangerous than marijuana, you could soon possibly be executed in that demented country for possessing large amounts of that “drug”.
When I read about how Filipinos support a president who is committing genocide against his poor people in the name of fighting drugs, I ask myself what kind of monsters was I living among when I lived there. And I honestly don’t want to know the answer.
