The two players were locked at 12-under going into the 18th hole but Kusuma suffered a bogey that cost her a chance of forcing the play-off. The 21-year-old Renuka parred the hole to clinch the title with a total 12-under 204 at the par-72, 6,399-yard landscape.
“I was prepared for a play-off. But when Kusuma missed her putt, I was a bit stunned. This win really means a lot to me as it’s my first title,” said Renuka, who was richer by Bt142,500.
Kusuma settled for the runner-up’s prize money of Bt96,285. Supamas Sangchan carded a 72 for 211 and joint third along with Saranporn Langkulgasettrin.
Rising star Pajaree Ananarukarn finished with 3-over 219 for tied 22nd position in her debut tournament as a pro.
The fourth leg of the Thai LPGA Tour will be held at the Kabinburi Sport Club in Prachin Buri from July 12-14.
