The latest show featured Polycat, a pop band from Smallroom, and Boom Boom Cash, a dance and electronic band from Lazerface and both rocked the crowd last Saturday at Studio Mono 29 on Chaiyaphruek Road,
The theme, which both bands had to follow, was “What’s Up Dude, Shall We Dance”.
Screams greeted Polycat's singer and guitarist Ratana Chanprasit, bassist and synth player Pieo Watanabe and DJ Palakorn Kanjina, as they performed a set that featured “Phak Dee”, “Phuean Mai Jing”, “Phuean Phra Eak”, “Sabai Dee Rue Plao” and “Klai Thao Derm” before handing over to Pieo for a bass solo.
The band then segued into a series of singalong tracks including “Wela Ther Yim”, “La”, “Tong Pen Phroh Fon”, “Yang Yindee Khrub Phuean” and “Ploy Hai Tua Chan Pai” before getting fans up and dancing in “Chai Klang” and “Sing”.
Screams rose another decibel or two as Polycat’s Ratana introduced Boom Boom Cash’s vocalist Warisara “Miew” Apirakdechachai and jammed with her on “Alright (Man Pen Khrai)”.
Taking over the stage from Polycat, Miew started the set by showing off her amazing voice on “Mai Arj Yud Yang” then followed up with a feel-good dance floor set of EDM-oriented songs “Prod Song Khrai Ma Rak”, “High All the Time”, “Come n Get Me”, “One Life” and “Phin”.
Boom Boom Cash jammed with Polycat's singer Ratana in “Khid Thueng” before rocking the audience with the danceable songs “Don’t Let Me Down”, “U Drink I Drink”, “Hip Hop Set”, “Strike”, “Mao Mai”, “Drink & Drunk”, “Closer”, “Rolling in the Deep”, “Toh Rung”, “Mia Mai Mee” and “Blur Blur”.
