No, China was not the first to map human genome

Peking University was most certainly not the institution which mapped “the genetic make-up of the entire human being”. That honour, as has been well documented, belongs to the Human Genome Project and the multitude of institutions that participated globally. To insinuate that this was part of China’s “lead” in genomics is either an egregious mistake, or something akin to an advertorial by a China-based businessman. Either way I suggest it is corrected.
