The leaders of Britain and the United States have sent shock waves across the world with statements about the poisoning of a former Russian double-agent in the UK.
But if Prime Minister Theresa May feels justified in condemning Moscow for a plot to poison this single treacherous spy, shouldn’t she also condemn Queen Victoria for sending tonnes of opium to poison millions of Chinese in the 19th century? By the same logic, shouldn’t President Trump also condemn Richard Nixon for sending tonnes of Agent Orange to poison millions of Vietnamese? As an ancient Chinese sage once said, “Do not forget the past, it will be our teacher in the future.”
