Thai police never cease to amaze me.
They employed a special unit wearing full body armour, armed with assault rifles to search a condo of a suspect in a racketeering case. Recently, they employed a fully armed commando unit and many “glad to be on TV” high-ranking officers in a surprise pre-dawn raid of several temples to arrest monks accused of embezzlement.
But sadly, on May 10, two greenhorn policemen were tasked to search a house in Kalasin for a drug suspect, which resulted in one of them being shot and seriously wounded, while the other was shot and killed.
And while I’m at it, please stop the practice of lurking behind trees on highway dividers and suddenly jumping out to flag down vehicles for traffic violations.
