Teen sensation Kunlavut Vitidsarn successfully defended his World Junior Championship title after he beat Kodai Naraoka of Japan 21-9 21-11 in Markham, Canada on Sunday.

Last year in Indonesia, the 17-year-old beat Loeng Jun Hao of Malaysia 17-21 21-15 21-9  in the final to become the first Thai in the history to win the boy’s singles event.

The first Thai to win the World Junior title was Ratchanok Intanon in the girls’ event between 2009-2011.

Elsewhere Chinese third-seeded Goh Jin-Wei of Malaysia ousted Line Christophersen of Denmark 21-13 21-11.
