Linkin' up for Linkin Park

The Americans return on September 23. We must have done something right last time

American rock band Linkin Park returns to rock Thai fans on its "A Thousand Suns" world tour on September 23 at Aktiv Square at Muang Thong Thani.

"A Thousand Suns" is the band's fourth studio album. The show in Bangkok, says Penada Entertainment chief Niti Na Songkhla will involve "the same, large-scale stage production, sound and lighting as the band used in America and Europe.

"Undoubtedly the fans will hear the hits like 'Somewhere I Belong', 'In the End', 'Crawling', 'What I've Done', 'Numb', 'Don't Stay' and 'Iridescent' from the 'Transformers 3' soundtrack.

Niti says everything ready in terms of safety and security at the concert. He also notes that Linkin Park deducts the equivalent of $1 from the price of every ticket for the Music for Relief charity.

Thai Bev marketing manager Sorrakrit Lathitham says his firm is sponsoring the show because "fans of Linkin Park are also our main target - the new generation that dares to make a difference". Thai Bev is introducing three new Chang soda flavours - Bitter Lime-lemon, Apple Mint and Blue Magic.
