ThaiBev helps flood victims by providing drinking water for sale and giving the proceeds to flood relief

Thai Beverage recently launched its “Nam Duem Tan Nam Jai” (drinking water replaces affection) campaign, selling more than one million bottles of Chang drinking water in nine areas over the nine days from November 9 to 17, to help alleviate the shortage of drinking water during the severe floods in Bangkok while raising funds for the Chaipattana Foundation.
Helping out at Nonthaburi’s City Hall, Siam Niramit, Rama 9 Park, Wong Wian Yai, Central Plaza Rama 2, Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre, Lumpini Park and the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration were several GMM Grammy’s artists, among them Supanat “Aof” Chalermchaijaroenkit, Techin Chayuti, Cham Chamrum, Natcha “Mouse” Juntapun from the boy band BOY, Chainan “Off” Chantem from Tempo-po, Ornnisha “Prao” Krinchai from girl group Olives, Jennifer Kim and Somsak Hemran, the one-handed guitarist who won hearts on the first season of “Thailand Got Talent”. In between hauling the bottled water, they performed on makeshift stages and entertained buyers.
“Thai people and businesses have suffered from these flood but we haven’t abandoned each other. It’s been great to see organisations from both the public and private sectors, including Thai Bev, launch such worthwhile campaigns,” said singer and actress Marsha Wattanapanich. “For me, I donated money and volunteered my time.”
