Re: What are Thais famous for abroad?
I enjoyed reading the 40 most [internationally] acclaimed Thais booklet. I particularly liked the ballerina who is my age and clearly a lot fitter. The lady doctor in public service could also claim my admiration.
Somtow was named as somebody more famous outside of Thailand than at home. In counterpoint Thaksin Shinawatra was named for being more infamous at home. Somsak Pola criticised The Nation for not giving details of Somtow’s fame abroad. He will now understand the BBC critics who claim that Thaksin’s skullduggery in Thailand is never published abroad
