Democrats tell half-truths on food prices

The Democrats are trumpeting and drumming about food prices having gone up considerably under PM Yingluck's government.

I found that they, as usual, tell half the truth.
The World Bank on April 26 announced that “Global food prices have risen 8 per cent since the start of this year, adding that the higher prices were driven mostly by rising energy costs and adverse weather during the first months of the year.” So, folks, it’s a global problem after all.
I beg the Democrats to please stop misleading consumers. A plate of rice topped with meat or poultry may cost Bt70-80 as you have babbled about, but at a clubhouse of a golf course or at an international franchise restaurant. At typical food shops and street vendors, it still costs Bt15-30 depending on the toppings.
