Correcting Somsak's distortions, again..

First, the land deal verdict was never nullified, otherwise Thaksin Shinawatra would not have missed this chance to come back. And payment by his then wife for the land had to be refunded because the sale was judged as ineffective and void.
Second, to put Dr Thaksin Shinawatra in the same league as Dr Pridi Banomyong and Dr Puey Ungpakorn is also like putting him in the same class as Nelson Mandela. Pridi was in exile because of a threat of false charges. He had never run away from a court’s verdict. No one accused Puey of any crime. He even came back to Thailand for a short visit.
Third, the Bt2-million bribe was factual. Penalties were imposed on the wrongdoers. We know about this because there was a man honest enough not to accept the bribe.
