Despite the tragedies outlined in the editorial, it left out one of the most dastardly covered-up facts about the subject: more women disappear from India each year to feed the human slave sex trade than from any other country.
The US Congress pretends not to know about the statistics so India can continue to being rewarded economically by the United States. But the facts are not all that much of a secret – so what is their excuse?
