Why the big fuss over Lance Armstrong?
Play
Why is everyone making such a big deal about Lance Armstrong? So he is a crook. What else is new?
How many baseball players were doped up in order to hit more home runs? What about all the boxers who are given decisions they clearly don’t deserve? Everyone knows the judges are paid off.
When I was in high school, most students worshipped the football stars despite the fact that some were the meanest kids in school. And we were taught the only thing that matters (besides football) was to get good grades.
My point is that 99 per cent of the people in this world don’t give a hoot about integrity and character.
When I write letters to the newspapers simply asking people to stop being so cruel to humans and animals, I am laughed at and told I don’t understand how the real world works.
Well, if selfishness and dishonesty is how the real world works, then stop being so self-righteous about Lance Armstrong, who is no different from most of the people who are reading this letter.
