Ma’am, how would you react if Opposition leader Abhisit demanded that the media verify any allegations you made before publishing – such as your repeatedly insisting that you make your own decisions, rather than being a mouthpiece for the Man in Dubai – to avoid undermining the credibility of Thailand’s top post?
You would, I hope, point out that it’s the media’s job to report what was said accurately, in full and in context – rather than to verify whether what was said was true or not. And you would be right. So, I suggest that you apply the same logic and standards to what you demand of the media.
