BJT's endorsement of reform is interesting

Having found no previous premiers of Thailand willing to get involved in her "reform effort", Yingluck Shinawatra has managed to get some foreign assistance.

Tony Blair is an interesting choice. With George Bush, he certainly contributed to world peace and conciliation in Iraq and Afghanistan. As ambassador for peace in the Middle East he was noticeably absent from the recent moves forward in the Palestine-Israeli relationship. He is more noted for getting lucrative consulting contracts for his consultancy company in that region.
Is it impossible that he may be looking for the same thing in Thailand? He will need to sing the right song at the forum. It is noted that Thaksin may or may not be invited to the forum but “there were already people with the same views as his on the forum”. Quelle surprise!!
The Bhum Jai Thai Party has also agreed to take part. Boonjong Wongtrairat of that party was recently quoted as saying, “People who support this [Worachai amnesty] bill are the ones who benefit from it.”
It will be interesting to follow the views of Bhum Jai Thai, as they were involved with Thaksin’s government when the great satellite swindle started off the whole business that put Thailand in the mess it is in now.
