An exotic treasure hunt with Swarovski

Travel the Silk Road in gems from Venice to China

SWAROVSKI IS off down the Silk Road this winter with its Secret Treasure collection, designed to evoke the romantic journeys of the golden age of trade.
Creative director Nathalie Colin has tapped four legendary locations where treasure could be found along the Silk Road, all the way from China into the Himalayas and from India to Venice. Secret Treasure revisits emblematic elements with a blend of modernity and sophistication.
The techniques include crystal cutting, Pointiage, pave work, beading and embroidery, each enhanced by and enhancing the cut-crystal stones, crystal mesh and crystal rock. The result is stunning radiance amid the perfect marriage of heritage and innovation.
Colin utilised the Chinese symbols of yin and yang in her Stone theme. Inspired by the trimmings of Chinese costumes, the luxurious pendant features sensual curves and is given ultra-shine by pave crystal work. It’s paired to oversized earrings.
From the Himalayas, the Vita line cuts into a cabochon, highlighted by small tone-on-tone crystal stones. The richness of gold and the wonder of precious stones reflect the charm of India in the multicoloured Shourouk necklace.
Venetian inspiration floats over the refined Venetie cuff that plays on opulence in rose-gold plated metal, richly decorated with a blue crystal cabochon, pearls, and baguette-cut crystals.
