But this isn’t about democracy. Most Thais don’t care about democracy, at least not this version of it. It is this “democratic” process that has put a puppet government into power, by buying votes and winning over people with populist policies that have financially ruined the country, while lining the pockets of one family and its friends. We were happy the Army saved us.
We might have no choice but to accept this government. Even if we get them out, they will probably be back. But we will not stand by while they try to pass laws like Matra 190 or this amnesty bill or any other self-serving legislation.
Enough is enough.
